Ari Leff, known as Lauv is an American singer and songwriter. In May 2018, Lauv released I Met You When I Was 18 (The Playlist), a 17-track collection of new and previously released tracks, including the singles "I Like Me Better" and "The Other", that he had been working on over the course of a few years.

For the release of the compilation album, I created a unique identity in close collaboration with the artist himself.
The logotype drew inspiration from Lauv’s Latvian heritage but simplified through a contemporary lens. The V can be extracted to resemble an abstract lions head (Lauv, Latvian for ‘lion’) or symbolize V for vulnerability, a word that Lauv feels deeply connected with.

Fast forward to 2021 and Lauv is one of the biggest pop artists in the world with over 20 million monthly listeners on Spotify and song collaborations with artists like Troye Sivan, BTS & Alessia Cara..
